Salhaus Barnabus Vom Sackett

Bear was born April 2021 a Salhuas puppy from Salhaus German Shepherds.  He has Royalair's German Shepherd bloodlines.  He is a black and tan saddle-back, he currently weighs in at around 115 lbs. we anticipate Bear's mature weight to be in excess of 130 lbs.  Bear is a beautiful, large, traditional, old-fashioned German Shepherd.

Bear is very calm and loving.  He enjoys playing with our family and other dogs. People are often intimidated by Bears size and alarming bark when they first meet him, but it doesn't take long for him to win them over with his charm, beauty, and wonderful personality.   

TESTING:  Bear's Embark testing will be completed soon.  Based on his sister Tillie's (of Schutzhaus German Shepherds) embark testing, we have confidence that Bear will have good results.  Embark tests for over 200 genetic health conditions. Bear's DM will be normal, and he will be a non-carrier based on his parentage, since neither parent are carriers of DM.  That means that Bear can only transmit the normal gene to his offspring, and is unlikely that he or his offspring will ever develop DM.  Bear's PennHIP distraction index was 0.26.  His PennHIP test is shown below.
